hygiene on electronic wash basin

trigger a flow of water for 20 seconds
every 24 hours after the last
use to prevent water stagnating in
the pipelines.
Legionella flush.
A 5 minute water flow can be programmed
for thermal disinfection
on most electronic wash basin fittings
with a mixed water function
to flush the system through with
70 °C hot water. This means that
the fittings also support requirements
laid down in the DVGW
worksheet W551.
Robustness.
The design of the fittings, their
all­metal casing and the materials'
robustness make the units much
harder to vandalise. Consequently
service costs and downtimes are
reduced to a minimum.

Infrared Piezoelectric button
Functions.
Infrared E, piezoelectric P, self­closing SC and single­lever EH.
Infrared E.
Electronic wash basin fittings with
infrared sensor control the flow of
water conveniently, contact­free
and in response to the need for
water. This prevents germ transfer
to the fittings and therefore stops
germs being passed on to other
people. Depending on the design,
the electronic unit has 4 or 5
adjust able programs, such as a
stagnation flush every 24 hours
after the last use and a cleaning
stop. The selectable legionella
flush provides extra hygiene.
The fittings can either be operated
by battery or mains power. They
are available for mixed (hot and
cold) water or cold and/or premixed
water and are particularly
suited to high­use sanitary rooms.

Piezoelectric P.
Battery­operated, electronic selfclosing
fittings with piezoelectronics
are ideal for any location and
suitable both for high­use sanitary
rooms and for private guest WCs.
In contrast to conventional, hydraulically
controlled self­closing
systems, the opening impulse on
this fitting is controlled by a piezoelectric
component that is integrated
vandal­proof inside the head
part of the fitting. The start and
stop function of the fitting is controlled
by lightly pressing the piezoelectric
button. The water flow can
be individually and accurately limited
to between 4 and 120 seconds,
irrespective of the water pressure:
a plus point for both ecology and
economy. A stagnation flush can be
programmed to flush every 24 hours
after the last use for areas with
more demanding hygiene requirements.

Self­closing
Self-closing SC.
The hydraulically controlled selfclosing
fittings for mixed (hot and
cold) water or cold and/or premixed
water were developed for
the high strain of public, semi­
public and commercial sanitary
rooms. The fittings are exceptionally
reliable to operate and lowmaintenance
due to the innovative,
corrosion­proof, durable plastic
cartridge technology. The operating
button only needs to be pressed
lightly to activate the flow of water.
Depending on the model, the flow
time can be adjusted to between
6 and 15 seconds, or fixed at about
7 seconds. All self­closing fittings
share an all­metal design which
makes them particularly robust
against mechanical influences.
Single­lever
Single-lever EH.
The single­lever mixers are an alternative
for applications where the
water flow is to be regulated mechanically.
The fittings are designed
for reliable continuous operation
and are ideally suited not only for
sanitary rooms but also for private
bathrooms.

design, the battery compartment

controls the start/stop function
and closes the fitting before expiry
of the preset flow time which can be
set to between 4 and 120 seconds,
thereby contributing to eco­nomical
water usage.
