<strong>Estrella</strong> <strong>Mountain</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College competes in the Arizona<br />
<strong>Community</strong> College Athletics Conference. The mission is to<br />
offer student athletes the opportunity to compete for team<br />
<strong>and</strong> individual championships. Academic achievement is highly<br />
emphasized; along with a support system to facilitate academic<br />
<strong>and</strong> social successes of student athletes. Men’s <strong>and</strong> women’s golf<br />
<strong>and</strong> cross country are available to full-time students.<br />

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate a strong<br />
awareness of criminal justice concerns <strong>and</strong> issues, to provide<br />

educational <strong>and</strong> employment opportunity networking system<br />
for Administration of Justice students.<br />
Asian Pacific Isl<strong>and</strong>er Club (APIAC)<br />

APIAC encompasses students who want to learn <strong>and</strong>/or join<br />
an organization that promotes racial, political <strong>and</strong> cultural<br />

The purpose of the Black Student Union is to support<br />
EMCC students, while stimulating education by providing<br />

Christian Challenge<br />

The Christian Challenge organization promotes interest in Jesus<br />
Christ <strong>and</strong> provides fellowship among students <strong>and</strong> faculty.<br />
The main objectives are to support the needs of students in<br />
regard to the visibility <strong>and</strong> role of Priority College Ministry <strong>and</strong><br />
Christianity <strong>and</strong> to provide a forum to assist self -discovery,<br />
innovation <strong>and</strong> contribution to the college community <strong>and</strong><br />
the broader society.<br />

The EMCC Forensics Club accepts all students interested in<br />
a variety of speech styles <strong>and</strong> it sponsors several activities<br />
on campus throughout the year. The club competes in local,<br />
regional, <strong>and</strong> national speech competitions, including:<br />
informative, impromptu, competitive, prose interpretation, <strong>and</strong><br />
communication analysis.<br />
Future Teachers Club<br />

The EMCC Future Teachers Club assists in locating a variety of<br />
professional development opportunities to assist education<br />
students to prepare them for teaching professions. Students<br />
develop communication <strong>and</strong> leadership skills to achieve their<br />
goals through participation in a variety of activities, including<br />
support networks with fellow students, West Valley teachers,<br />
<strong>and</strong>/or administrators.<br />
International Club<br />

The mission of the International Club is to promote international<br />

Latin Dance<br />

M.E.Ch.A. supports higher education for Chicano/Hispano<br />
