Measurement and Verification Standard Guideline for Low Pressure Solar Water Heating Systems v1r1 5.1 Tests by South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) The Required Tests in Compliance with the relevant South African Standards for Supplying and Installing Solar Water Heater Systems in ESKOM’s SWH Program are given in Table 1. This Guideline aims to develop a performance evaluation model which uses the main SWH system parameters experimentally determined by the SABS tests as shown in Table 2. 18

Note that, SABS is changing some of the conditions for the testing (for example for Q-factor/value) and the reports may differ from system to system.
