1.4.6 Underlying assumptions
Eskom‟s revenue requirement is based on assumptions relating to capacity expansion, IPPs,
primary energy costs, the legislation South Africa will enact to curb electricity usage, the
control period and electricity demand.
Assumption 1: The revenue request only considers capacity expansion up to
the substantial completion of Kusile power station
