The Group Technology and Commercial division is responsible for overseeing, monitoring<br />
and executing engineering and procurement activities across <strong>Eskom</strong>, and for overseeing the<br />
<strong>Eskom</strong> Enterprises SOC Ltd group of companies.<br />
Technology<br />
Group Technology includes engineering, outage management, asset management,<br />
operating model, research testing and demonstration. The overall objective is to ensure<br />
optimum performance of plant assets, and to infuse the capacity expansion programme with<br />
excellence in design and engineering.<br />
Commercial<br />
Group Commercial is responsible for managing external spending. It also ensures effective<br />
and efficient procurement (excluding primary energy) as well as optimal inventory<br />
management, warehousing and logistics, supplier management and development, and<br />
contract negotiations and establishment.<br />
Sustainability<br />
Sustainability offers solutions and decision support to enable sustainable business<br />
performance. The ultimate goal is to transform <strong>Eskom</strong> into an economically and<br />
environmentally sustainable entity, so improving stakeholder confidence.
