UTICAJ RAZLIÈITE PROPORCIJE EGZOTIÈNE GERMPLASME U<br />

OÈINSKOJ KOMPONENTI HIBRIDA KUKURUZA NA NJIHOVE OSOBINE<br />

Cilj ovog rada bio je da se uporedi uticaj razlièite proporcije egzotiène germplasme<br />

(preko inbred linije NC298) u oèinskoj komponenti eksperimentalnih hibrida kukuruza<br />

na prinos zrna, sadraj vlage u zrnu, stabilnost pojedinaènih genotipova i interakciju<br />

genotipa i spoljne sredine. Pet grupa oèeva je formirano sa 0, 25, 50, 75 i 100% tropske<br />

germplasme (ili sa 1/2 manje u njihovim odgovarajuæim hibridnim kombinacijama)<br />

koristeæi direktna i povratna ukrštanja izmeðu NC298 inbred linije (100% tropska<br />

germplasma) i Mo17 i NS796 linija oèeva (0% tropske germplasme). Svaka grupa oèeva<br />

je testirana sa 3 inbred testera koji pripadaju Reid yellow dent heterotiènoj grupi da bi se<br />

stvorili eksperimentalni hibridi sa razlièitim procentom egzotiène germplasme koji su<br />

bili predmet ovog istraivanja. Signifikantost razlika izmeðu srednje vrednosti eksperimentalnih<br />

hibrida sa razlièitom proporcijom NC298 inbred linije u oèinskoj komponenti<br />

je ocenjivana pomoæu F vrednosti koristeæi Repeated-Measure Design (RMD).<br />

Stabilnost pojedinaènih genotipova u odnosu na posmatrane spoljašnje sredine je<br />

odreðivana regresionim koeficijentom (bi) i R 2 regresionom vrednošæu. Interakcija<br />

genotipa i spoljašnje sredine za prinos zrna i sadraj vlage u zrnu odreðivana je AMMI<br />

(Glavni aditivni efekti i višestruke interakcije) metodom. Stabilnost pojedinaènih<br />

genotipova nije ogranièavajuæi faktor izbora poeljnih genotipova kako izmeðu tako i<br />

unutar grupa sa razlièitom proporcijom tropske germplasme, i nemoe se utvrditi sigurna<br />

veza izmeðu stablinosti genotipa i proporcije tropske germplasme. Inbred linija NC298<br />

sa 100% tropskom germplasmom moe se uspešno inkorporirati u temperirani<br />

oplemenjivaèki materijal ukoliko njen udeo u poèetnim populacijama ne prelazi 25%,<br />

kako za prinos zrna tako i sadraj vlage u zrnu.<br />

EVALUATION OF MAIZE HYBRIDS CONTAINING DIFFERENT<br />

PROPORTION OF TROPICAL GERMPLASM IN THEIR MALE PARENTS<br />

The objectives of this study were to compare effects of the different proportions of tropical<br />

maize germplasm (via inbred NC298) in hybrids male parent, on grain yield, grain<br />

moisture content, cultivars stability performance and genotype-by-environment interaction.<br />

Using direct crosses and backcrosses (between NC298, Mo17 and NS796 male lines) five<br />

male groups were formed containing 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent of tropical germplasm,<br />

respectively (or one half in their corresponding hybrids). Each male parent group was<br />

tested with three female inbred-testers that belong to the Reid yellow dent heterotic group.<br />

The level of significance between mean values of hybrids containing the different proportion<br />

of NC298 line in male parent was estimated by F value using Repeated-Measure Design<br />

(RMD). Individual genotype stability over environments for grain yield was determined<br />

by regression coefficient (bi) and R 2 regression value. Genotype-by-environment interaction<br />

for grain yield and grain moisture content was estimated by AMMI (Additive<br />

main effects and multiplicative interaction) method. Individual genotypic stability did not<br />

restrict the choice of desirable genotypes between and/or within groups containing different<br />

proportion of tropical germplasm, and no association between genotype stability and<br />

the proportion of tropical germplasm could be defined. The NC298 tropical germplasm inbred<br />

line of maize, could be incorporated into temperate breeding material comprising 25%<br />

of the foundation population proportion, for both grain yield and grain moisture content.
