OCENA POGODNOSTI MONOGERMNIH LINIJA ŠEÆERNE REPE ZA<br />

STVARANJE HIBRIDA TOLERANTNIH PREMA RIZOMANIJI<br />

Prvi podaci o prisustvu rizomanije u našoj zemlji datiraju iz 1971. godine i od tog<br />

vremena ovo obolenje se raširilo na èitavo proizvodno podruèje šeæerne repe. Kao<br />

posledica širenja ovog, veoma destruktivnog, obolenja u proizvodnju su se uvodile sorte<br />

šeæerne repe tolerantne prema rizomanija, a u poslednje dve godine gaje se skoro<br />

stoprocentno tolerantne sorte. Imajuæi ovu èinjenicu u vidu 2002. godine izvršili smo<br />

ukrštanje 250 monogemnih cms linija, koje ne poseduju gene tolerantnosti prema<br />

rizomaniji, sa multigermnom diplidnom populacijom koja poseduje rizor gen<br />

tolerantnosti prema ovom obolenju. Tokom 2003. godine na zemljištu zaraenom<br />

rizomanijom, izvršena je provera proizvodnih svojstava dobijenih hibridnih kombinacija.<br />

Za ispitivanja u 2004. godini odabrano je 40 hibridnih kombinacija stavljajuæi pri tome<br />

naglasak na sadraj šeæera i tehnološke karakteristike. U monogermne linije koje pokau<br />

dobre kombinacione sposobnosti za najvanija proizvodna svojstva uneæe se holly<br />

odnosno wb gen otpornosti, a potom æe se ove linije koristiti za stvaranje hibrida šeæerne<br />

repe visoko tolerantnih prema rizomaniji i dobrih proizvodnih svojstava.<br />

EVALUATION OF SUITABILITY OF MONOGERM SUGAR BEET LINES<br />

FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HYBRIDS TOLERANT TO RHIZOMANIA<br />

The first reports of rhizomania in our country date back to 1971. Since then, the disease<br />

has spread to all sugar beet-growing areas of the country. In response to the spread of this<br />

highly destructive disease, sugar beet cultivars tolerant of rhizomania were introduced increasingly<br />

into commercial production, and in the last two years virtually all sugar beet<br />

cultivars grown commercially have tolerance to rhizomania. With this in mind, in 2002<br />

we crossed 250 monogerm cms lines that have no genes for tolerance to rhizomania with<br />

a multigerm diploid population that has the Rizor gene for tolerance to this disease. During<br />

2003, hybrid combinations obtained in this manner were evaluated for their production<br />

characteristics on rhizomania- infected soil. Forty of the combinations were then<br />

chosen for testing in 2004, with emphasis on sugar content and technological characteristics.<br />

Monogerm lines with good combining abilities for the most important production<br />

characteristics will be identified and the Holly and WB genes for rhizomania resistance<br />

will be incorporated into them. These lines will then be used to develop sugar beet hybrids<br />

that have high tolerance towards rhizomania and good production characteristics.
