Rekurentna selekcija na poveæan sadraj ulja primenjena je tokom sedam ciklusa<br />

fenotipske masovne selekcije kod dve sintetièke populacije kukuruza. Izuèavani su<br />

direktan i indirektan odgovor na selekciju, kao i korelativne promene sadraja ulja i<br />

drugih agronomskih svojstava, koje æe biti prikazane u ovom radu. Sadraj ulja u zrnu<br />

odreðen je NMR spektroskopijom.<br />

Poveæan sadraj ulja bio je u negativnoj korelaciji sa prinosom zrna u populaciji DS7u<br />

per se, dok je u populaciji YUSSSu per se, sa poveæanjem sadraja ulja došlo i do<br />

poveæanja prinosa zrna. Slièan trend zabeleen je i kod meðuzavisnosti sadraja ulja u<br />

zrnu i visine biljke, dok je procenat poleglih biljaka bio u signifikanto negativnoj<br />

korelaciji sa sadrajem ulja u zrnu kod populacije YUSSSu, dok je meðuzavisnost ovih<br />

svojstava bila nesignifikantna unutar populacije DS7u.<br />

Prema ovim i drugim do sada objavljenim rezultatima, moe se zakljuèiti da prilikom<br />

selekcije na poveæan sadraj ulja obavezno treba uzeti u obzir korelativne promene<br />

prinosa zrna i drugih znaèajnih svojstava.<br />

RECURRENT SELECTION FOR INCREASED OIL CONTENT IN MAIZE<br />

Recurrent selection for increased oil content was conducted on maize populations over<br />

seven cycles of phenotypic mass selection. The objectives were to evaluate direct and indirect<br />

responses to selection and correlative changes between oil content and other agronomic<br />

traits. Oil content in individual kernels was determinated by nuclear magnetic resonance<br />

spectroscopy.<br />

The increased oil content was associated with grain yield reduction inDS7u per se while<br />

grain yield increased significantly in YUSSSu per se. Similar trend was detected in correlation<br />

between oil content and plant height; percentage of lodgged plants has significant<br />

and negative correlation with oil content in YUSSSu, while correlation among these<br />

traits was not significant in DS7u.<br />

Due to our and previous results, it could be reccomanded that selection for increased oil<br />

content in the populations should consider correlative changes in grain yield and other<br />

important traits.
