Techno live and in the Cath lab sessions<br />

Building on the success <strong>of</strong> the Congress in 2011 the “Techno Live”<br />

case transmissions will be broadcast to Athens allowing the audience<br />

to closely follow the procedures and benefit from the experience <strong>of</strong><br />

the experts.<br />

Additionally pre-recorded cases have been added this year as “In the<br />

Cath Lab” sessions and will be presented within an interactive format<br />

where real life challenging cases will be:<br />

• Demonstrated by the experts<br />

• Discussed with the audience<br />

• Concluded with recommendations and take-home messages<br />

The specialised nature <strong>of</strong> this field, along with a surge in needs, is now well recognised by our community.<br />

Participants will have the opportunity to meet leading authorities in this field, to discuss emerging issues<br />

and the implementation <strong>of</strong> new solutions to improve patient treatment and safety. Education, innovation<br />

and data collection issues will be at the centre <strong>of</strong> the debates.<br />

Genetics summit<br />

The Summit is designed to <strong>of</strong>fer attendees a comprehensive learning opportunity that will encompass all<br />

aspects <strong>of</strong> Cardio-genetics <strong>of</strong> Arrhythmias, spanning from basic science to genetic screening to patient<br />

management. Beside conventional lectures, the programme will include a session dedicated to the<br />

late breaking Trials<br />

Due to the exceptionally high quality level <strong>of</strong> abstracts submitted for the<br />

Late Breaking Trials session we felt obliged to add a second session to<br />

give more time to present the latest information on trials, registries and<br />

other relevant information in the field <strong>of</strong> Arrhythmias. These sessions<br />

will include discussants to add an objective view to each abstract.<br />

EsC Guidelines session<br />

The new <strong>2013</strong> version <strong>of</strong> the ESC Guidelines on Cardiac Pacing and Cardiac<br />

Resynchronisation Therapy will be made public for the first time. These guidelines<br />

provide an up to date specialists’ view <strong>of</strong> the field and play a pivotal role in contributing<br />
