PrOdUCt NEwS 12 Gilbarco expands pump tV coverage Gilbarco Veeder-Root and its digital media partner Outcast Media are taking their fuel-pump TV system nationwide, according to an announcement. Gilbarco is based in Greensboro and makes fuel pumps and retail systems for gas stations around the world. The system developed with California-based Outcast Media is called Applause TV and it provides entertainment programming and marketing designed to lure gas pumpers into the station's convenience store. The monitors are integrated into the pumps and programming includes content from CBS, ABC and Comedy Central among others. The program was introduced in 20 large markets last fall but is now being made available nationally because of its success, the companies said. EasyFuel boosts oil and gas with e-payment solution EasyFuel Limited, a new Nigerian company engaged in the provision of e-payment solutions in the downstream oil and gas sector, has launched a new range of products. This new system will eliminate the use of cash in buying fuel at filling stations across the country in line with global trend towards cashless solutions. With these new solutions, a customer may purchase fuel with simply a bank card or any of EasyFuel's proprietary e-payment products, SpeedPass, Sprint or e-Go which may be installed in the vehicle or issued as contact-less fobs. The EasyFuel system also accepts bank-issued Automated Teller Machine (ATM) debit and credit cards thereby enabling customers to pay for their fuel electronically from their current and checking bank accounts.
