Public Schools Admission
2013
The admission period for public schools in Gauteng for 2013 will take place between 22 May
2012 and 27 July 2012. Application forms will be available at all public schools from 14 May.
Completed forms should be submitted to schools from 22 May.
Who should apply?
All parents or guardians seeking learner placement in a public school for:
• Grade 1(Learners going to school for the first time)
• Secondary school (Learners moving from Grade 7 to Grade 8)
• Learners from families that are relocating.
Documents needed:
• Birth certificate or certified copy or acceptable proof of birth date
(a baptismal certificate is not acceptable);
• Proof of residence;
• Immunisation card (for all primary school learners);
• Study permits for legal immigrants;
• Transfer card and last report card for learners already in school.
Remember to apply early at your nearest school because space is limited.

Publieke Skool Toelating
2013
Die toelatingsperiode vir publieke skole in Gauteng vir 2013 sal plaasvind tussen 22 Mei
2012 en 27 Julie 2012. Aansoekvorms sal beskikbaar wees by alle publieke skole vanaf 14
Mei. Voltooide aansoekvorms moet gestuur word aan skole vanaf 22 Mei 2012.
Wie mag aansoek doen?
Alle ouers of voogde wie plek soek in ‘n publieke skool vir:
• Graad 1 (leerders wat skool bywoon vir die eerste keer)
• Leerders wat beweeg vanaf Primêre Skool na Hoërskool
• Leerders van families wat verhuis
Dokumente benodig:
• Geboortesertifikate of gesertifiseerde afskrife of aanvaarbare bewys van geboortedatum
(‘n doopsertifikaat is nie aanvaarbaar nie);
• Bewys van blyplek;
• Immuniseringskaart (vir alle primêre skoolleerders);
• Studie permitte vir onwettige immigrante;
• Oorplasingskaarte en laaste rapport vir leerders wat alreeds in die skool is.
Onthou om vroegtydig aansoek te doen by jou naaste skool omdat plek/spasie beperk is.
