The people adhered to their resoluti<strong>on</strong>. lo' (OT:3808), minime , as in Josh 5:14, i.e.,<br />

we will not serve other gods, but Jehovah.<br />

<strong>Joshua</strong> 24:22-23<br />

And <strong>Joshua</strong> said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have<br />

chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.<br />

Up<strong>on</strong> this repeated declarati<strong>on</strong> <strong>Joshua</strong> says to them, "ye are witnesses against<br />

yourselves," i.e., ye will c<strong>on</strong>demn yourselves by this your own testim<strong>on</strong>y if ye should<br />

now forsake the Lord, "for ye yourselves have chosen you Jehovah to serve Him;"<br />

whereup<strong>on</strong> they answer `eediym (OT:5707), "witnesses are we against<br />
