The territory of the half tribe of Manasseh extended from Mahanaim <strong>on</strong>wards, and<br />

embraced all Bashan, with the sixty Jair towns and the (northern) half of Gilead (see<br />

the comm. <strong>on</strong> Deut 3:13-15).<br />

<strong>Joshua</strong> 13:32,33<br />

These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of<br />

Moab, <strong>on</strong> the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.<br />

V. 32 is the c<strong>on</strong>cluding formula. (For the fact itself, see Num 34:14-15.) V. 33 is a<br />

repetiti<strong>on</strong> of v. 14.<br />
