their most recent sexual encounter<br />
• Since 1996 there has been a 53% increase in Chlamydia rates<br />
among youth ages 15-25 in Massachusetts<br />
• Gonorrhea rates among 15-19 years are 3.7 times that of the<br />
overall state rate.<br />
• Youth of Color are the fastest growing population to be<br />
affected by HIV/AIDS<br />
• In Massachusetts 57% of all the youth living with HIV are youth<br />
of color.<br />
• Too few life options, poor academic skills, violence and chaotic<br />
living conditions continues to put youth at risk for HIV/AIDS<br />
transmission<br />
