This photograph (left) of Alexandra
Gardens was taken by Marc Isaacs,
histology and imaging technician in
the School of Biosciences.
It won September’s University
Campus category of the University’s
125th Anniversary Photo competition.
Since being launched at the beginning
of the year the competition has
attracted more than 1,000 entries to
the four categories – the other three
being Use Your Imagination, My
Work and Cardiff Life.
All the winners now go forward for
judging to find the overall winner in
each category. You can view all the
monthly winners at: www.cf.ac.uk/
photowinners and see many others
from the link on the anniversary
website www.cf.ac.uk/125 .
The sea creature in this month’s
photograph looks quite friendly
but where exactly does it lurk on
campus? The location will be printed
in next month’s issue and can also be found online at
www.cardiff.ac.uk/news/Nov08 . Have you noticed an overlooked
feature of the University campus? Please send suggestions or
photographs for future issues to newsletter@cardiff.ac.uk.
