PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Denepox Balloon Injector is a lowpressure
(25psi) injection port with a
balloon reservoir for epoxy injection.
The Balloon Injection System uses the
pressure of an expanded rubber
reservoir to guarantee a low pressure,
longer duration injection even into fine
cracks. Due to the pressure provided by
the expanded rubber bladder, there is
no need for expensive, bulky, metering
pumps, thereby relieving the applicator
of considerable manpower and
equipment expense.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Use a wire brush to remove all laitance,
dust, grease, etc. around cracks (width
should be approximately 2 inches) to a
clean, sound surface. Refer to DeNeef
Surface Preparation Guidelines for more
details.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Mounting pedestals: Use Denepox
Rapid Gel to attach low-pressure
pedestals onto crack center. The
spacing between the pedestals depends
on the thickness of the concrete wall.
Sealing the crack surface: Again use
Denepox Rapid Gel to seal around the
low-pressure pedestals and along the
crack for a width of 2 inches and a
thickness of about 1/8”. Let the
Denepox Rapid Gel cure. (See
Figure1 and 1a.)

Attaching Balloon Injector: Push in
and twist the Balloon Injector onto the
low-pressure pedestal. Do not overtighten.
This is cam lock fitting. (See
Figure 2 and 2a.)

Injection: Mix the Denepox I-40
properly (see Denepox I-40 data sheet)
and fit hand operated pump with
Balloon Injector adapter. Connect
hand operated pump to Balloon
Injector and inject Denepox I-40 until
the balloon has expanded to double it’s
length (from 1.5 inches to 3.0 inches).
Now the balloon will contain about 3 oz.
of Denepox I-40. (See Figure 3 and 3a)

Fill all Balloon Injectors with Denepox
I-40 starting at the bottom injector. (See
Figure 2.) Reinsert balloons as
necessary. (See Figure 3 and 3a)
NOTE: Balloons will probably need to
be filled more than once.
Curing: Allow Denepox I-40 to fully
cure, which can be determined by the
feel of the Denepox I-40 inside the
Balloon Injector.

Finishing: Remove the Balloon
Injector, pedestal and Denepox Rapid
Gel (if necessary) by any suitable
method (grinding, chiseling, or using
heat to soften the Denepox Rapid Gel.)
PRECAUTIONS
Never work with Balloon Injector
without eye protection. If resin gets in
eyes despite all precautions taken, flush
out with large amounts of fresh water,
followed by immediate medical
attention. Remove resin from skin
immediately with soap and fresh water.
Never use thinner to clean resin from
skin. Always use protective clothing,
gloves and goggles consistent with
OSHA regulations during use. Avoid eye
and skin contact. Do not ingest. Refer to
Material Safety Data Sheet for detailed
safety precautions.
