CHAPTER MEETING MINUTES<br />
7:00-9:00; 18 <strong>Nov</strong>ember <strong>2010</strong> Centennial Club (Pub) Fort Bliss Texas 79906<br />
The meeting was called to order at 7AM by CW3 Keith Wright, Chapter President, who led us<br />
in the Pledge of Allegiance then welcomed the members and guests.<br />
A quorum was confirmed with 4 Chapter Officers and 11 members present.<br />
o One new member application was received.<br />
o Four member proxies were also received.<br />
The Chapter Secretary was given the floor to conduct the voting for acceptance of the bylaws<br />
and election of chapter officers.<br />
o The Chapter Bylaws were ratified by unanimous vote.<br />
The floor was opened for nominations for Chapter Officers.<br />
o CW2 Aamodt was nominated previously for Chapter President. No other nominations<br />
were received. CW2 Aamodt was elected by acclimation as Chapter President.<br />
o Nominations for Chapter Vice President were opened with CW2 Juan Dorado being<br />
previously nominated. No other nominations were received. CW2 Dorado was elected<br />
by acclimation as Chapter Vice President.<br />
o The floor was open for nominations for Secretary and Treasurer. None were received.<br />
o The President-Elect stated the current Secretary and Treasurer would be appointed to<br />
continued service.<br />
o The elections were closed with the new President and Vice President to be installed at<br />
the 10 December luncheon meeting.<br />
There was no old or new business to be discussed.<br />
The next meeting was announced for 10 December <strong>2010</strong> at the German Club.<br />
o The luncheon will start at 11AM with the Commanding General scheduled to arrive at<br />
11:30 to speak to the members.<br />
o All warrant officers on Fort Bliss will be invited to attend.<br />
A quick raffle was held to present door prizes to the members in attendance.<br />
o CW2 Richards won a gift card which he donated back to the chapter.<br />
o CW2 Dorado won a new chapter pen.<br />
The Chapter President introduced CW5 Thomas Green to present the Professional<br />
Development session on review and updating of personnel files in preparation for promotion<br />
boards. In addition to the 15 members, there were 43 warrant officer guests in attendance.<br />
CW5 Green presented valuable information and advice to all attendees regarding how they<br />
should review their personnel files and the critical pitfalls to be aware of. CW5 Green also<br />
presented an in depth explanation of exactly how the promotion boards are staffed, organized<br />
and conducted. He reviewed how the promotion lists are assembled and how each individual<br />
is “scored”.<br />

In appreciation for taking time to provide this valuable information for the Fort Bliss warrant<br />
officers, the chapter presented CW5 Green with a Sun City Chapter USAWOA laser cut<br />
plaque.<br />
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9AM.<br />
