OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT
The objective of this event is to serve as one-stop shop for the scientific
and business communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina to get informed
about the opportunities offered by the recently signed association of the
country to the Seventh EC Research and Technological Development
Framework Programme (FP7), and to encourage dialogue, identify
potentially interested partners and pave the way for further collaboration
within the Research Framework Programmes.
Representatives from the European Commission's Directorate General for
Research will provide information, examples of specific work programmes
as well as explain practical aspects of participation in FP7 calls.
The Joint Research Centre (JRC), which provides scientific and
technological support for the EU policy-making process, will present its
activities in areas of priority for Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as
environment, health, food and agriculture as well as ICT.
COST is one of the longest-running European instruments supporting
cooperation among scientists and researchers across Europe. COST is
also the first and widest European intergovernmental network for
coordination of nationally funded research activities.
The participation of high representatives from the European Commission
and the Council of Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, make this event a
unique opportunity to discuss the role of the Research policy for the
integration of the country in EU.
