6.30 Checking the Emergency Stop Switch<br />

Complete this test with the engine off.<br />
6.30.1 Remove the cover of the small control panel where the emergency<br />
stop switch is mounted.<br />
6.30.2 Place the emergency stop switch in the deactivated (out) position.<br />
6.30.3 In the deactivated position, contacts NC1 and NC2 should have<br />
continuity. Both pairs of NO3 and NO4 should have no continuity<br />
(open).<br />
6.30.4 Place the emergency stop switch in the activated position (in).<br />
Contacts NC1 and NC2 should be open. Both pairs of NO3 and NO4<br />
should have continuity.<br />
6.30.5 If the emergency stop switch does not perform as above, replace it.<br />
