It seemed no time at all.<br />

We waved goodbye to the<br />

crew of Straat Holla nd from<br />

Kai T ak (page 194), and as<br />

we were looking at the<br />

pictures of her delivery to<br />

the Company (opposite), the<br />

new ship sailed in to Hong<br />

Kong. She really does look<br />

different from her predecessors,<br />

with four holds forwa rd<br />

of the bridge and the<br />

big 20-ton crane amidships.<br />

Next month we shall be<br />

showing some of the exciting<br />

new developments inside her<br />

hull. Meanwhile, we wish<br />

Captain Beynon and everyone<br />

on boa rd , a successful<br />

maiden voyage in the Far<br />

East- Africa -South America<br />

Service (ASAS).<br />
