First of all, a good flanger (also distortion) inevitably<br />

makes a lot of noise. I tried some multi-effectors of low price, and<br />

[recommend] BOSS SE for your purpose. SE has analog [circuitry] and<br />

its effect is very good for guitarists. Also [has a] low price. I<br />

know (and own) a SONY MP, which processes [effects digitally]. Maybe<br />

pitch shifting, comp/limiter and so many ``clean'' effects work better<br />

than SE, but franger [flanger?], distortion, ... ``dirty'' effects<br />

[are] not vigorous. MP's much better in multi-tracking; maybe SE's<br />
