IDENTIFICATION & SAFETY<br />

If you smell gas, extinguish any open flames, pilot lights, and all smoking materials.<br />

DO NOT touch electrical switches. Shut off the gas supply at the tank valve(s) or gas<br />

supply connection. Open doors and other ventilation openings. ( do not use the range<br />

hood ) Leave the area until the odor clears.<br />

Have the system checked and leakage source corrected before using again. LP Gas<br />

regulators must always be installed with the diaphragm vent facing downward. Regulators that<br />

are not in compartments have been equipped with a protective cover. Make sure that the regulator<br />

vent faces downward and the cover is kept in place to minimize vent blockage which<br />

could result in excessive gas pressure causing fire or explosion.<br />

Portable fuel burning equipment including wood or charcoal burning grills and stoves<br />

should not be used inside the motorhome because they may cause fire or asphyxiation.<br />

FIRE SAFETY<br />

Fire safety is an important part of owning a motorhome. Make sure that everyone traveling in<br />

the motorhome is familiar with the location of exits, including emergency exit windows should<br />

an emergency arise. The following basic rules of fire prevention can help eliminate the<br />

possibility of a fire.<br />

Never store flammable liquids within the motorhome<br />

Keep cooking surfaces clean<br />

Never clean with a flammable liquid<br />

Never leave cooking food unattended<br />

Never smoke in bed, and always use an ashtray<br />

Never allow children to play with LP Gas or electrical equipment<br />

Never use an open flame as a flashlight<br />

Always repair faulty or damaged wiring and electrical components<br />

Never overload electrical circuits<br />

Locate and repair LP Gas leaks immediately<br />

Don’t allow rubbish to accumulate<br />

Spray fabrics annually with a flame retardant<br />
