2.5 Design<br />
2.5.1 Design of the <strong>motor</strong><br />
General<br />
The unenclosed <strong>motor</strong>s have a fully laminated stator yoke and thus allow rates of<br />
current change of up to 250 IN/sec. The <strong>motor</strong>s are of uncompensated design. The<br />
main and commutating poles are screwed into the stator yoke.<br />
The high-quality insulation system DURIGNIT ® 2000, which achieves insulation<br />
class H, permits the <strong>motor</strong> to be used in tropical humidity and in an industrial<br />
environment. All windings are fully impregnated in the built-in state and the rotor<br />
winding is of enclosed design in order to prevent the ingress of carbon dust.<br />
