Massachusetts <strong>National</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> Family Program<br />
o Acts as ex-official member of the Commander’s staff, i.e., acts as<br />
liaison between commander and family members, makes<br />
recommendations to commander and MPOC on family matters,<br />
o assists military members in planning family events and activities,<br />
works directly with retention personnel (at commander’s<br />
direction),<br />
o Sets up volunteer network to assist families,<br />
o Provides information to unit members and their families via<br />
newsletters and telephone trees,<br />
o Works with MPOC and commander on annual family briefing for<br />
dependents,<br />
o Signs volunteer release, DA Form 4712R<br />
