Troubleshooting
The following table helps in localising and remedying minor faults:
fault Possible cause Remedy
The appliance does
not function
The automatic circuit
breaker in the electrical
distribution board
trips
The appliance does
not heat.
Plug not inserted into socket. Insert plug.
Automatic circuit breaker in electrical
distribution board tripped.
Too many appliances connected
to the same power circuit.
Appliance is defective.
The internal safety switch has
switched off the appliance as a
result of overheating.
The does not steam. No water in the water tank.
The boil-dry protection
switches off the
appliance even though
there is water in the
water tank.
The appliance does
not mix.
The blade or the motor
unit is blocked.
NOTE
Water tank is scaled.
Water in the water tank is contaminated
(e.g., with meat stock after
overfilling of the steamer jug).
Safety valve is not deactivated.
Mixer jug is overfilled.
Switch on the automatic
circuit breaker again.
Reduce the number of
appliances on the power
circuit.
Contact customer
service.
Allow the appliance to
cool down and move
the rotary switch (11) to
Reset . See section
Resetting the boil-dry
safety protection.
Switch off the appliance
and fill the water tank.
Descale the water tank.
See section Descaling
the water tank.
Empty and clean the
water tank and fill with
fresh water.
Place the lid on the mixer
jug properly and place
the mixer jug properly on
the base appliance.
Switch off the appliance
and process smaller
quantities. Do not fill the
jug beyond the maximum
mark.
