Cleaning and care<br />

Before beginning, pay attention to the<br />

safety instructions in the section on safety!<br />

Cleaning the appliance<br />

Clean the appliance after each use.<br />

Pull the plug out of the mains socket.<br />

Remove the lid from the steamer jug<br />

(2) and the mixer jug (5) as described<br />

in the section Placing/removing the<br />

mixer jug lid.<br />

Remove the steamer jug (2) from the<br />

base appliance (12) as described in<br />

the section Inserting/removing the<br />

steamer jug.<br />

Remove the mixer jug (5) from the<br />

base appliance (12) as described in<br />

the section Inserting/removing the<br />

mixer jug.<br />

Remove the chopper blade (7) as<br />

described in the section Mounting/<br />

removing the chopper blade.<br />

WARNING<br />

The blade is very sharp!<br />

Only grip with the plastic handle<br />

Clean the chopping blade under running<br />

water.<br />

Clean the other parts in hot water and<br />

a little washing up liquid.<br />

NOTE<br />

► With the exception of the base<br />

appliance, all parts can be<br />

cleaned in the dishwasher.<br />

► The handle (1) of the steamer<br />

jug (2) can be removed for simplifying<br />

cleaning.<br />

To clean the water tank (13), fill it with<br />

warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly<br />

with water afterwards and dry with a<br />

soft cloth.<br />

Clean the base appliance (12) with a<br />

damp cloth.<br />

Descaling the water tank<br />

Descale the water tank (13) every 4 weeks<br />

to ensure that the appliance continues to<br />

function properly.<br />

NOTE<br />

► Calcium deposits can be reduced<br />

by using previously boiled or filtered<br />

water .<br />

To descale the water tank, proceed as follows:<br />

Switch off the appliance.<br />

Add 10 g citric acid to 150 ml of warm<br />

water.<br />

NOTE<br />

► You can use a solution of 100<br />

ml water and 50 ml domestic<br />

vinegar (8% citric acid).<br />

Fill the water tank (13) with the solution.<br />

Turn the rotary switch (11) to "Steam"<br />

. The steam indicator lamp (10)<br />

lights up and indicates that the steamer<br />

is in operation.<br />

Switch off the appliance after 5 - 6<br />

minutes and then pull the plug out of<br />

the mains socket.<br />

Pour the used solution out of the water<br />

tank.<br />

Rinse the water tank several times<br />

with fresh water.<br />
