► Only fill the kettle up the maximum<br />

mark. If overfilled, hot water can<br />

squirt out.<br />

► Keep all parts of your body away<br />

from escaping steam.<br />

► Only lift the kettle and the teapot with<br />

the handle.<br />

► Lift the teapot carefully. Hot steam<br />

can escape and lead to scalding.<br />

► Only use the kettle with the lid on or<br />

when the teapot is placed on top.<br />

► Do not open the lid of the kettle or<br />

teapot immediately after boiling is<br />

completed.<br />

► Remove the tea strainer carefully<br />

with the help of the handle.<br />

► Do not move the cordless socket<br />

when the appliance is in operation.<br />

► Before cleaning, allow the appliance<br />

to cool down.<br />

Health risk from germs!<br />

► Always pour boiling water over<br />

herbal, fruit, rooibos and spice teas<br />

(loose and in tea bags) and allow to<br />

steep for at least 5 - 10 minutes! This<br />

is the only method for ensuring that<br />

the tea is safe to drink!<br />

► Do not allow prepared herbal tea to<br />

stand for several hours.<br />

► Do not pour in any other liquids apart<br />

from water or put foodstuffs into the<br />

kettle.<br />

► Never fill the kettle with water if it is<br />

standing on the cordless socket.<br />

► Do not use sharp objects or abrasive<br />

cleaning agents to clean the<br />

surfaces.<br />

► Descale the kettle regularly.<br />

Requirements for the place of use<br />

For safe and trouble-free operation of the<br />

appliance, the installation location must<br />

satisfy the following requirements:<br />

■ Place the appliance on a dry, flat, waterproof<br />

and heat-resistant surface.<br />

■ The surface finishes on furniture may<br />

contain substances that can be detrimental<br />

to the rubber feet of the appliance.<br />

If necessary, place a mat under<br />

the feet of the appliance.<br />

■ Do not place the appliance in a hot,<br />

wet or very humid environment or in<br />

the vicinity of inflammable materials.<br />

■ Select a location that does not allow<br />

children to reach the hot surfaces of<br />

the appliance.<br />

■ The plug socket used must be easily<br />

accessible in order to be able to disconnect<br />

the appliance from the electric<br />

circuit quickly in the event of an emergency.<br />
