RJ-11 Port <strong>and</strong> Cable Connector<br />

RJ-11f<br />

An RJ-11 port, used for modems <strong>and</strong> other telephone-wire applications.<br />

Often found in pairs (one connecting to the telephone network, the other<br />

acting as a pass-through to a normal telephone).<br />

RJ11m<br />

An RJ-11 cable, used to connect modems <strong>and</strong> other telephone-based devices.<br />

Older Network Connectors<br />

DB-15f<br />

A DB-15 connector used for Thick Ethernet (10BASE-5) networks; usually<br />

found on the rear of a network card along with an RJ-45 or a BNC connector.<br />

BNC<br />

The BNC connector, used by Thin Ethernet along with a T-adapter. The<br />

adapter is used to connect the cable to the network card.
