Annual Report 2009 - Safe Kids Columbus

Dear Coalition,
The phenomenal success of the 2009 Safe Kids Program is but a reflection of
the ever-increasing dedication and enthusiasm of each volunteer who gave selfless
hours of dedication. We could not allow the 2009 season to come to an end without
recognizing your outstanding efforts.
Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Lead Agency,
Columbus Health Department ,who has supported the Safe Kids program for 11 years.
We would not be where we are today without the support of Dr. Zsolt Koppányi, Ed
Saidla, and Pam Middleton of the Columbus Health Department. Thank you to all of our
Partners in the community that financially enable us to hold events and reach our target
population of children 14 and under. Thank you to the Safe Kids Board who deserves
to be recognized because of their instrumental and vital role in the development and
success of Safe Kids. Also, a thank you to the Safe Kids staff Jacquetta Jackson and
Ella Tull for their willingness to go the extra mile for Safe Kids Columbus.
Serving the children and families in Columbus has been made possible because
of each of you dedicating your time to keep children safe. As we move forward in 2010,
my hope is that we will increase the amount of children and families that we can help
stay safe as we continue to provide the appropriate safety equipment. The plans for
2010 will be an expansion on the good works already accomplished by Safe Kids
Columbus. We will be adding a Safe Sleep, Sports Injury, and the exploration of a
Safety Town project to our program outreach. I would like to take this opportunity to say
a heartfelt ―Thank You!‖ We look forward to working with you all again next year.
