been deemed to fix the problems reported below, but may inadvertently introduce other unforeseen issues. If you have a

Some of the issues resolved by this Hot Fix require the creation of new registry keys/subkeys or the editing of registry
key/subkey values. In most cases where these registry keys/subkeys need to be created, the Hot Fix install will create
the key/subkey and set the default value. Please refer to the readme information for each specific issue for the default
and recognized values. For more information on creating and editing your system registry, please refer to the following

Attempting to add a calculated member to a report using the HAPI essbase driver causes the Olapworker to terminate

The cause of the problem is that Crystal Analysis fails to check for child objects before it processes the request to add the

This has been corrected to check for children before processing them.

Calculated members based on other calculated members are sometimes represented as null data rather than being
calculated correctly.
This problem happens only when calculated members are added in a certain order.

New Behavior:
If the problem continues after this HotFix has been applied, users will need to modify the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Enterprise\InstallRoot\Path].
Modify this registry key so that it points to the directory where Business Objects is installed (that directory is usually
C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11).

The cause of the problem is that a file named OLAPWorker.exe is absent from the OLAP Intelligence HotFix. The file needs
to be updated to maintain compatible functionality with other parts of the OLAP intelligence HotFix.
New Behavior:
To solve the problem, the OLAPWorker.exe file has been added.

New OLAP connections cannot be created in InfoView, and script errors are generated when viewing OLAPi reports in the
DHTML viewer.
This problem happens after OLAPiXIwin_chf, dated November 10, 2005, is applied.

Description:
A report designed in Crystal Analysis 9 may fail to load in a later version.
The cause of the problem is a stack overflow, which is created by sequences of recursive commands in the object history.
Many of the commands in the sequences in the object history are superfluous, because they are never used.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.
When a report is loaded, the commands are ignored in the report processing. In addition, when reports are saved, fewer
command sequences are created because the object history is filtered at load time.
Known Limitations:
NOTE: In the Business Objects XI suite, this HotFix requires both commonXIwin_chf.zip and olapiXIwin_chf.zip to be
installed.

1) Go to the bin directory (....\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Analysis\Olap\bin directory) and create a backup copy of the file
db2hapi.dll.
For example, rename the file to "db2hapi.dll.old".
2) Rename the appropriate db2hapi_xxx.dll to db2hapi.dll
- db2hapi_81.dll for DB2 Client 8.1
- db2hapi_717.dll for DB2 Client 7.1.7
For an Essbase Client:
1) Go to the bin directory (....\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Analysis\Olap\bin directory) and create a backup copy of the file
essbhapi.dll.
For example, rename the file to "essbhapi.dll.old".
2) Rename the appropriate essbhapi_xxx.dll to essbhapi.dll
- essbhapi_650.dll for Essbase 6.5
- essbhapi_610.dll for Essbase 6.1
FOR BUSINESS OBJECTS XI
For a DB2 Client:

Olap Intelligence is slow to display a list of databases in Microsoft Analysis services.
The cause of the problem is that, when users expand a folder to view its subfolders, the application calls the server to
retrieve the information.

To solve the problem, the information for subfolders is cached, so that the server is no longer accessed every time users
expand a folder.

When an invalid name and password is used to connect to a cube that uses the ActiveX viewer, the appropriate error
message fails to be translated into the proper language.
The language files, which are used to translate error messages, fail a version check. At that point, they are unloaded and
made unavailable to translate the error message. The reason the files fail the version check is that they are missing certain
information.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.

calculation.
New Behavior:
To solve the problem, NULL value cells are properly evaluated for highlighting.

The option "Series Options..." option is not available in the Chart right-click menu when a line or pie slice is selected;
however, the option is available in the Chart right-click menu for invalid chart types, such as funnel, gauge, and stock.

Description:
A Crystal Analysis report, which connects to a Microsoft SQL/Analysis Services datasource, appears differently in the
DHTML viewer as it did in the designer once the MDX has been changed.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.
Here is an example of how this problem would occur:
1) Connect to the Example Microsoft supplied Foodmart Sales Reporting Cube.
2) Select "Store" Dimension as columns and select only "CA" ,"OR", and "WA."
3) Select "Product" Dimension as rows, and then select only "Drink," "Food," and "Non-Consumable."
4) Edit the MDX to have the "Non-Consumable" be the first item in the column.
The original MDX would appear as follows:
...SET __CRYSTAL_SET_ON_AXIS_1__ AS ' { DISTINCT( { [Product].[Product Family].&[Drink],
[Product].[Product Family].&[Food], [Product].[Product Family].&[Non-Consumable] } )
The new MDX would appear as follows:
....SET __CRYSTAL_SET_ON_AXIS_1__ AS ' { DISTINCT( { [Product].[Product Family].&[Non-Consumable],
[Product].[Product Family].&[Drink], [Product].[Product Family].&[Food] } )
5) Create a stacked bar chart.
6) Publish to report to CE.
7) View the report with the ActiveX viewer. The layout of the graph is the same as when it was designed.
7) View the report in the DHTML viewer.
The order of the members are not the same as when it was designed.
The sofa_common.dll file has been changed to allow for the case where data has been stacked. This case was not
previously accommodated.

Description:
When users use the DHTML viewer to view a CAR file that contains a chart, and then change the property "Display
Members Using" to "Caption : Name," the chart becomes static when users drill down on it.
The cause of the problem is that the wrong event handler function is used for the change member display event.

Description:
Reports that contain a chart fail to open in InfoView when the Oracle 10g Application Server is used.
The charting data block in the CAR file is filtered by the Oracle 10g Application Server, so charts fail to be rendered, and
then InfoView stops loading the report because the report is incomplete.
New Behavior:
To fix the problem, charts are pre-generated in the same way that they are in the HTML client, and so the chart data block
is not used.

Description:
In Infoview, when users design an OLAP intelligence report and add a chart when only a worksheet is present on the
report, the worksheet becomes hidden from view.
The cause of the problem is that Infoview gives charts top priority for display purposes, and sometimes ignores other
objects.
