ADAPT00700566
Description:
Patch ID: 39,397,265
On UNIX, when the "Default-Local to web server" time zone is used in InfoView, the refresh time in Web Intelligence documents
shows the GMT+0.00 time instead of the server time.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.
Known Limitations:
For this fix to work correctly, the TZ environment variable must be set to a value found in the following directories:
Linux: /usr/share/zoneinfo
Solaris: /usr/share/lib/zoneinfo
AIX: /usr/share/lib/zoneinfo
HPUX: /etc/zoneinfo
ADAPT00703047
Description:
Patch ID: 39,374,680
Dates and times in BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 do not comply with the new changes to Daylight Saving Time,
which take effect from March 11, 2007 to April 1, 2007 and October 28, 2007, to November 4, 2007.
The changes to Daylight Savings Time during this four-week period are a provision of the United States Energy Policy Act of
2005.
New Behavior:
This problem is resolved.
In Crystal Reports, this fix affects the formula function "ShiftDateTime," which is used to change date and time information from
one time zone to another and includes the application of daylight saving time rules.
The ShiftDateTime function has the option to specify specific time zone rules for daylight saving time. But, if no rules are
supplied, the daylight saving time rules for the United States are used by default. Crystal Reports has been updated so that the
ShiftDateTime function reflects the change in daylight saving time rules for United States time zones for years starting in 2007.
With this change, the default set of rules is chosen in accordance with the date-time value passed to the function. If the year
portion of the date-time value is 2006 or earlier, the old rules will be used. For years starting with 2007, the new rules will be
applied.
Known Limitations:
In addition to installing this HotFix, users must apply operating system and Java DST patches from their operating system and
Java runtime vendors.
