CONWRD$–MASM PROCs and Entry Points These entry points to the CONWRD$ routine are replaced by the C$ONWRD PROC (see Section 7). The common bank entry points are BCWSET$ Sets bit 8 of the condition word; if bit 8 was already set, then set bit 7. BCWCLEAR$ Clears bit 8 of the condition word; it does not affect bit 7. EOUT$–Generalized Output Editing Routine The functionality of EOUT$ is now provided by the AEDIT$ and EDIT$ image composition editing packages (see Sections 4 and 8). EOUT$ is an interpretive routine that performs editing functions for Fieldata output produced for a printer, communications terminal, card punch, or display console. The interpretive instructions performed by the routine are constructed similarly to machine language instructions.
