Extended Mode Interface to SYSLIB
I.2. Interface to the AEDIT$ Package
All of the routines in the AEDIT$ package are called with the EM$EDIT PROC. The
packet for the AEDIT$ package is generated with the EM$EDITPKT PROC.
The EM$EDIT PROC calls the ASCII editing routines in the SYSLIB common bank.
Calling Sequence:
EM$EDIT pkt,b-reg [func,param1,param2]
where:
pkt
b-reg
func
The label (18-bit offset from zero) of the packet generated by the EM$EDITPKT
PROC.
The B-register describing the bank containing the packet generated by the
EM$EDITPKT PROC.
The code for which ASCII editing function to perform. See Table I–1 for a list of all
function codes.
param1
The first additional parameter for the EM$EDIT call. This parameter varies
depending on which function code is used. See Table I–2 for a list of first parameter
values.
param2
The second additional parameter for the EM$EDIT call. This parameter varies
depending on which function code is used. See Table I–3 for a list of second
parameter values.
The func, param1, param2 parameters are optional. If they are omitted, EM$EDIT uses
the values contained in registers A1, A2, and A3, respectively. Since the EM$EDIT
PROC does not handle all combinations, either supply all parameters or all registers.
