Error Description
ASCII OUTPUT TRUNCATED Overflow occurred on Fieldata to ASCII translation.
Diagnostic Messages
CARD COUNT < Not enough editing statements were provided. Those lines
for which no editing statement was provided remain
unchanged.
CARD COUNT > Too many editing statements were provided. The excess
editing statements are ignored.
COLUMN The column number specified in Format 1 or 2 editing
statement is out of range or c > d for a Format 2 editing
statement.

NO CARDS FOLLOW -n No change lines follow -n.
A compressed symbolic image exceeded the maximum
image length when expanded. The remainder of the input
image is ignored.
A source input line referenced by a partial line change
statement is in octal CCS 0nn, which is not Fieldata, ASCII,
or ASCII-like and cannot be edited.
A partial line change editing statement is in octal CCS 0nn,
which is not Fieldata, ASCII, or ASCII-like as required.
NO FIND The characters given in the old-data parameter of a format 3
or 4 editing statement could not be found in the line being
changed.
Whenever a NO FIND, SEPARATOR, or COLUMN error
occurs, the editing statement is ignored and the line remains
unchanged except format -n, where the last changed image
is returned.
OUT OF SEQ The line-change or partial-line-change statement is illegal.
PREMATURE @EOF An end of file encountered when reading compressed
symbolic images. An image has probably been lost.
SEPARATOR The separator used in the editing statement is invalid or
nonexistent.
SI ENDS AT LINE NUMBER n The line-change or partial-line-change references a line after
the last line of the input symbolic. Line number n is the last
line of the symbolic.
