SAR$ COM<br />

SC$RUNIDW1<br />

The first four ASCII characters of the run-id to use when logging the console<br />

message. See the ER COM$ section, Exec ER <strong>Programming</strong> <strong>Reference</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> for<br />

further details.<br />

SC$RUNIDW2<br />

The second four ASCII characters of the run-id.<br />

SC$ROUTW1<br />

Routing information on the console to which the message is to be sent. The word<br />

may be a 6-Fieldata character-site id or may be binary information returned by<br />

ER KEYIN$. See the ER COM$ section, Exec ER <strong>Programming</strong> <strong>Reference</strong> <strong>Manual</strong><br />

for further details.<br />

SC$ROUTW2<br />

A second word of routing information. This definition is a legacy from Exec levels<br />

prior to 40R1 and is supplied for compatibility only. All currently supported Exec<br />

levels use one word for routing information, the previously described SC$ROUTW1.<br />

20.2.1.3. Information Returned by COM Procedure<br />

The following fields of the SAR$ COM packet contain values returned by the SAR$ COM<br />

procedure to the calling program:<br />

SC$STATUS<br />

The COM function status word; it contains the call status in H2 and the substatus in<br />

S1.<br />

SC$CALLST<br />

The status code of the current COM procedure call. See Table 20–5 for an<br />

explanation of the octal status codes.<br />

SC$SUBSTAT<br />

This field contains additional information for particular call status codes.<br />

SC$RECBUFL<br />

The recommended buffer or table length returned by the SAR$ COM procedure<br />

when an invalid length is specified or when an overflow occurs.<br />
