SAR$ COM 20.2.1.2. Optional Information for SAR$ COM Procedure The calling program may optionally set the following fields of the COM packet. The default values are obtained by zero-filling the SAR$ COM packet before placing any information in the packet. SC$OCHART The character set type of the image written out by the SAR$ COM function: 0 ASCII/ISO 9-bit characters (default), including all ASCII-like types in Table H–1. 1 Attributed character data (ACD). Other character set types may not be written out by the SAR$ COM. See 18.3 for details on the allowed output character set types. SC$IMGBUF The address of the image buffer; this buffer is necessary if either the output or input character set types are ASCII/ISO with embedded shift-coded kanji or ACD. The default is no image buffer. SC$IMGBUFL The length in words of the image buffer; a length must be specified if an address is given in SC$IMGBUF. A length of zero indicates there is no image buffer (default). SC$OATTRT The address of the output attribute table, which contains the attributes that describe the character text of the image that the SAR$ COM function writes out. If there are no attributes for the output image, this table is not necessary. The default is no output attribute table. SC$OATTRTL The number of valid entries in the attribute table. (Each entry is one word.) A value of zero indicates that there is no output attribute table (default). SC$IATTRT The address of the input attribute table, which contains the attributes that describe the character text of the image that the SAR$ COM function reads in. If the input image does not have any attributes, this table is not necessary. The default is no input attribute table. SC$IATTRTL The length in words of the input attribute table. SC$ISLIST SAR$ COM The address of the input select list that specifies which attributes of the input image to return to the caller. The default is no input select list. SC$ISLISTL The length in 9-bit bytes of the input select list. A length of zero indicates that there is no input select list (default). SC$REQTYPE The request type for the input image: 0 1 SC$CONSCLA Do not search for embedded shift-coded kanji in input images of character set type ASCII/ISO (default). Search ASCII/ISO input images for any embedded shift-coded kanji, and return the image in internal format (text part and attributes part). This request type requires an image buffer and an input attribute table. The console class that the ER COM$ request is directed to: 0 System console (default). 1 I/O activity console. 2 Communications console. 3 Hardware confidence console. 4, 5, 6, 7 Individual site-defined consoles for octal codes 4 to 7. See the ER COM$ section, Exec ER Programming Reference Manual for further details. SC$CNTLB The caller-supplied control bits for the ER COM$ request (default is zero). See the ER COM$ section, Exec ER Programming Reference Manual for further details. SC$ACNTLB The caller-supplied additional control bits for the ER COM$ request.
