System Standard Procedures and Definitions
2.6. SYS$DEF–System Definitions
SYSLIB provides SYS$DEF as a relocatable, omnibus, and object module element that
equates externally defined mnemonic names to system definitions. These definitions
can be obtained during an assembly by including the following in the source code:
$INCLUDE 'SYS$DEF'. Table 2–4 contains the mnemonic names and values defined by
SYS$DEF.
Table 2–4. SYS$DEF: System Standard Definitions
Name Description
CYCLIM$ Symbolic element cycle maximum
EMPCTBD$ BDI value for Extended Mode user PCT bank
PCTBD$ BDI value for user PCT bank
PFET$ Starting sector address of the element table
PFAPT$ Starting sector address of the assembler procedure table
PFCPT$ Starting sector address of the COBOL procedure table
PFFPT$ Starting sector address of the FORTRAN/PLUS procedure table
PFEPT$ Starting sector address of the relocatable element entry point table
PFTEXT$ Starting sector address of the element text area
LPF$ET Starting sector address of the large program file element table
LPF$APT Starting sector address of the large program file assembler procedure
table
PF$LEVEL0 Current revision level for the standard program file
LPF$LEVEL1 Current revision level for the large program file
LEPF$LEVEL1 Current revision level for the large element program file
ASCLIKE$ A 72-bit ASCII-like bit mask. Bit 71-n is set to 1 if coded character set
(CCS) n is defined as ASCII-like. Otherwise, the bit is 0. See
Table 1–1. This double-word equate is defined only for the omnibus
version of SYS$DEF.
