Other character set types may not be written out by the SAR$ COM function. See<br />

18.3 for details on the allowed output character set types.<br />

IMAGE_BUFFER_ADDRESS<br />

PLUS Attribute: word pointer<br />

The address of the image buffer; this buffer is necessary if either the output or input<br />

image character set types are ASCII/ISO with embedded shift-coded kanji or ACD.<br />

The default is no image buffer.<br />

IMAGE_BUFFER_WORD_LENGTH<br />

PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer<br />

The length in words of the image buffer; a length must be specified if an address is<br />

given in IMAGE_BUFFER_ADDRESS. A length of zero indicates there is no image<br />

buffer (default).<br />

OUTPUT_ATTRIBUTE_TABLE_ADDRESS<br />

PLUS Attribute: word pointer<br />

The address of the output attribute table which contains the attributes that describe<br />

the character text of the image that the SAR$ COM function writes out. If there are<br />

no attributes for the output image, this table is not necessary. The default is no<br />

output attribute table.<br />

OUTPUT_ATTRIBUTE_TABLE_WORD_LENGTH<br />

PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer<br />

The number of valid entries in the attribute table. (Each entry is one word.) A value<br />

of zero indicates there is no output attribute table (default).<br />

The address of the input attribute table which contains the attributes that describe<br />

the character text of the image that the SAR$ COM function reads in. If the input<br />

image does not have any attributes, this table is not necessary. The default is no<br />

input attribute table.<br />
