OUTPUT_TEXT_BUFFER_ADDRESS<br />

PLUS Attribute: word pointer<br />

The address of the output text buffer, which contains the character text of the image<br />

that the SAR$ COM function writes out.<br />

OUTPUT_TEXT_BUFFER_BYTE_LENGTH<br />

PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer<br />

The length in 9-bit bytes of the character text in the text buffer. This is the number<br />

of characters that the SAR$ COM function writes out.<br />

INPUT_TEXT_BUFFER_ADDRESS<br />

PLUS Attribute: word pointer<br />

The address of the input text buffer, which contains the character text of the image<br />

that the SAR$ COM function reads in. This field is not necessary if<br />

INPUT_TEXT_BUFFER_BYTE_LENGTH is zero.<br />

INPUT_TEXT_BUFFER_BYTE_LENGTH<br />

PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer<br />

The length in 9-bit bytes of the input text buffer; this is the maximum number of<br />

characters that the SAR$ COM function will read in. If this field is set to zero, no<br />

input is solicited from the operator's console.<br />

20.1.1.2. Optional Information for SAR$ COM Procedure<br />

The calling program may optionally set the following fields of the COM packet. The<br />

default values are obtained by zero-filling the COM packet before placing any information<br />

in the packet.<br />

OUTPUT_CHARACTER_TYPE<br />

PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status<br />

The character set type of the image written out by the SAR$ COM function.<br />

S'ASCII_ISO' ASCII/ISO 9-bit characters (default).<br />

S'ACD' Attributed character data (ACD)<br />
