SAR$ ATREAD OUTPUT_IMAGE_BYTE_LENGTH PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer The length in bytes of the image written out by SAR_ATREAD. BYTE_LENGTH_OF_INPUT_TEXT PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer The length in 9-bit bytes of the character text returned in the input text buffer. NUMBER_OF_INPUT_ATTRIBUTES PLUS Attribute: 18-bit integer The number of attributes returned in the input attribute table. INPUT_CHARACTER_TYPE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status The character set type of the image read: S'ASCII_ISO' ASCII/ISO 9-bit characters S'ACD' Attributed character data (ACD) A value of any ASCII-like character set type defined in Table H–1. If a Fieldata image is read, it is translated to ASCII/ISO before being returned to the caller. See 17.3 for details on allowed input character set types. 19.1.2. PLUS ATREAD Procedures Buffers and Tables SAR$ ATREAD All buffers and tables must be provided by the calling program. The type definitions for the buffers and tables, and definitions for the default buffer and table lengths, are contained in the element SAR$DEFN in the <strong>SYSLIB</strong> file (SYS$LIB$*<strong>SYSLIB</strong>) or SYS$*RLIB$. They may be obtained with the COPY statement. The buffers and tables for the ATREAD function are similar to the buffers and tables for the READ and WRITE functions. See 17.1.2 and 18.1.2 for details on the buffers and tables. The default buffer and table lengths are listed in Table 19–1. Table 19–1.
