System Standard Procedures and Definitions 2.3. PROC$–System Procedures PROC$ is an element that contains the following assembler procedures (PROC). Refer to the designated section of this manual or to the other manuals listed below for instructions on how to use these procedures. Only those PROCs that are not described elsewhere in this document are listed. • Collector segment loading PROCs. See the Collector Programming Reference Manual. (L$OAD, D$REL, D$LOAD) • Procedures that generate calls to the PMD dynamic dump routines (X$MARK, X$BACK, X$BUFR, X$SIZE, X$IF, X$OR, X$AND, X$LST, X$TALY, X$FRMT, X$MESG, X$CREG, X$DUMP, X$CORE, X$DRUM, X$TAPE, X$FILE, X$CW, X$ON, X$OFF). See the PMD Programming Reference Manual. • Procedures, ASCII and FIELDATA, used with the Meta-Assembler (MASM) to change the radix for generating character data. • Procedure A$SCTRL to define mnemonics for the ASCII control characters corresponding to octal codes 0 through 37 and 177. See the ER Programming Quick-Reference Guide. • J$REG PROC to aid loading J-registers in character addressing mode. See the AIM Programming Reference Manual. • I$BJ and D$BJ PROC calls to generate IBJ$ (DBJ$) calling sequences used by the Collector in bank switching. SSTYP$–Element Subtypes SSTYP$ is a nonexecutable relocatable element consisting of a table of standard symbolic and omnibus element subtype names and their associated values. It has a single external definition, SSTYP$. SSTYP$ is the address of a word that contains the length of the table. The table begins at SSTYP$ + 1. The element subtype number is used to index into the SSTYP$ table to obtain the corresponding Fieldata name. For example, the octal value for an element subtype of 'PLS' (PLUS) is 015. The word at address SSTYP$+16 contains the Fieldata characters 'PLS∆∆∆'. 2–4 7833 1733–004
System Standard Procedures and Definitions If the element subtype number exceeds the length of SSTYP$, no table entry exists. The released table length is 64 words. If the element subtype number does not have a definition, SSTYP$ contains the number in Fieldata characters. For example, the octal value 076 does not have a subtype definition assigned to it. The word at address SSTYP$+077 contains the Fieldata characters '076∆∆∆'. Entries in the SSTYP$ table are one to four Fieldata characters per word, left-justified and space-filled. The element subtype codes are stored in the element table items in the program file table of contents. See 5.1.7 regarding packet formats for table item add.
