18.1.1.2. Optional Information for WRITE Procedures<br />

The calling program may optionally set the following fields of the WRITE packet.<br />

The default values are obtained by zero-filling the WRITE packet before placing any<br />

information in the packet.<br />

OUTPUT_FILE_TYPE<br />

PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status<br />

The file type that output images are written to:<br />

S'SDF_element'<br />

Write to an SDF element (default).<br />

S'SDF_file'<br />

Write to an SDF file.<br />

S'PRINT_file'<br />

Write to the standard PRINT$ file.<br />

S'PUNCH_file'<br />

Write to the standard PUNCH$ file.<br />

S'Alternate_PRINT_file'<br />

Write to an alternate PRINT$ file.<br />

S'Alternate_PUNCH_file'<br />

Write to an alternate PUNCH$ file.<br />

S'No_output'<br />

Construct the output image in the image buffer, but do not write it out.<br />

The output file may not be a tape file.<br />
