The element SAR$DEFN also contains other definitions necessary to SAR$.
17.1.3. READ Procedures Called from PLUS
The procedures for the READ function are:
• SAR_OPEN_INPUT
• SAR_READ
• SAR_CLOSE_INPUT
The declarations for these procedures are contained in the element SAR$READ$DG, in
the SYSLIB file (SYS$LIB$*SYSLIB) or SYS$*RLIB$. This element may be obtained with
the COPY statement.
SAR$READ$DG contains all three procedure declarations. All of the READ procedure
modules are compiled with the G option, using the IBJ$ calling sequence.
