SAR$ READ CHARACTER_CODE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit logical) The character set type of the image returned to the caller after any translation: 0 Fieldata 6-bit characters 01 ASCII/ISO 9-bit characters 077 Attributed character data (ACD) A value of any ASCII-like character set type in Table H–1. If UNTRANSLATE_MODE is set to S'Off', then any Fieldata images read are translated to ASCII/ISO before they are returned to the caller. See 17.3 for details on allowed input character set types. INPUT_CHARACTER_CODE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status The character set type of the image in the source input file or element. Contains the code type from the last 050 or 042 control record encountered in the input file or element. IMAGE_ADDRESS_SECTOR PLUS Attribute: 24-bit integer The mass storage sector address of the SDF image read. This field is undefined if input is from the runstream or an alternate READ$ file. IMAGE_ADDRESS_WORD_OFFSET PLUS Attribute: 6-bit integer The word offset into the mass storage sector address of the SDF image read. This field is undefined if input is from the runstream or an alternate READ$ file. IMAGE_ADDRESS PLUS Attribute: word machine integer This field is a one word combination of IMAGE_ADDRESS_SECTOR and IMAGE_ADDRESS_WORD_OFFSET, contained in bits 13 to 36 and in bits 1 to 6, respectively. (Bit 1 is the left-most bit of the field.) 17–8 7833 1733–004
LINE_NUMBER_TYPE PLUS Attribute: 3-bit condition The type of line number returned with the image read. S'None' S'CTS' SAR$ READ No line number was read from the input; an SAR$ generated line number is returned. See LINE_NUMBER_FORMAT in 17.1.1.2. A CTS line number is returned. S'Fractional' A fractional line number is returned. LINE_NUMBER_INTEGER_PART PLUS Attribute: word integer The line number returned by SAR$. It may be a CTS line number, the integer part of a fractional line number, or a generated sequential line number (see LINE_NUMBER_TYPE). LINE_NUMBER_FRACTIONAL_PART (1:4) PLUS Attribute: four one-word integers The fractional part of fractional line numbers returned by SAR$. Each word of the array contains 10 digits of the fraction. This field is defined only if LINE_NUMBER_TYPE is S'Fractional'. SDF_IMAGE_CONTROL_WORD PLUS Attribute: word logical The image control word for the SDF record read. This field is defined only if input is from an SDF file or element. If bit 1 of this field is set, a control record was read; if bit 1 of this field is clear, a data record was read. If a control record was read, SDF_IMAGE_CONTROL_WORD has three subfields that are overlaid on SDF_IMAGE_CONTROL_WORD: CONTROL_RECORD_TYPE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit logical The type of control record read (an octal code from 040 to 077). 7833 1733–004 17–9
