SAR$ READ REQUEST_TYPE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status The requested type of input: S'Pass_embedded_KANJI' Do not search for embedded shift-coded kanji in ASCII/ISO (default). S'Translate_embedded_KANJI' Search for any embedded shift-coded kanji in ASCII/ISO input, and convert it into internal format (text part and attributes part). Subsection 16.2 describes internal format. LINE_NUMBER_FORMAT PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status The format of line numbers returned by SAR$ to the caller. S'Use_input_numbers' Use the line number type read with the input image; it may be either a CTS or fractional line number (see LINE_NUMBER_TYPE in 17.1.1.3). If no line number exists for the input image, SAR$ increments the last line number by 1. If the input contains mixed LINE_NUMBER_TYPEs, the line number will be compared to the previous line number, and if necessary, incremented. If the input does not have any line numbers, SAR$ generates sequential line numbers with initial value 1 and increment value 1 (default). S'Generate_CTS' SAR$ generates sequential CTS line numbers with an initial value of 10 and an increment value of 10. S'Generate_fractional' SAR$ generates sequential fractional line numbers with an initial value of 10 and an increment value of 10. S'No_line_numbers' No line numbers are returned to the caller. 17–4 7833 1733–004
UNTRANSLATE_MODE PLUS Attribute: 6-bit status The untranslate mode flag setting: S'Off' S'On' SAR$ READ An error is returned if SAR$ reads a character set type other than 00 (Fieldata), 01 (ASCII/ISO), 077 (ACD) (default), or ASCII-like. All input is passed to the caller untranslated. SDF_CONTROL_RECORDS_TO_PASS PLUS Attribute: word logical This field specifies which SDF control records to return to the caller. Bits 1 to 32 may be set by the caller, where bit 1 is the leftmost bit of the field. If bit n is set, the control record type ( n-1 + 040) is returned to the caller. The image control word of the control record is returned in SDF_IMAGE_CONTROL_WORD, and any data words of the control record are returned in the text buffer. If this field is set to zero, no control records are returned to the caller (default). Note that the control record type 051 is not returned unless it is used to continue a type 061 control record. Therefore, it is suggested that the caller specify that type 051 records be returned if type 061 records are desired, and vice-versa. READ_ADDRESS_SECTOR PLUS Attribute: 24-bit integer The mass storage sector address of the next image to be read. This field is used if the image to be read is not the next sequential image. If this field is set to zero, the next sequential image is read (default). This field is undefined if the input is not from an SDF file or element. 7833 1733–004 17–5
