Once an attribute type and value are applied to a character in the character part, that<br />

attribute type and value apply to all of the following characters in the character part.<br />

The attribute type and value remain active until either another value for that attribute<br />

type is applied or the end of the character part is reached. If several attributes with the<br />

same types but different values apply to the same character, the last attribute value is<br />

used.
