SAR$–Symbolic Access Routines FIP$ACTYP The type of input being accessed 0 Input is from an SDF file. 1 Input is from an SDF element. 2 Input is from a COBOL, FORTRAN, or PLUS PROC. 3 Input is from an alternate READ file. This field is set for input only; it is omitted for output. FIP$PCHAR The character set type of the PROC to be read 0 Fieldata 6-bit characters. 01 ASCII/ISO 9-bit characters. 077 Attributed character data (ACD). This field is defined only for the access type 2 (PROC). FIP$PLANG The source language type of the PROC to be read. For access type of PROC 1 The PROC source language type is COBOL. 2 The PROC source language type is FORTRAN. 4 The PROC source language type is PLUS. This field is defined only for the access type 2 (PROC). FIP$FNLEN The length in bytes of the buffer containing the internal file name; legal values are from 1 to 12 bytes. May be set to 12 if the file name is space-filled to 12 characters. FIP$ENLEN The length in bytes of the buffer containing the input or output element name; legal values are from 1 to 12 bytes. May be set to 12 if the element name is space-filled to 12 characters. FIP$VNLEN The length in bytes of the buffer containing the input or output version name; legal values are from 1 to 12 bytes. FIP$FNBUF SAR$–Symbolic Access Routines The address of the buffer containing the internal file name. The file name must be in the ASCII/ISO character set, with length from 1 to 12 characters. FIP$ENBUF The address of the buffer containing the output element name. The element name must be in the ASCII/ISO character set, with length from 1 to 12 characters. This field is used only for output and an output file type (SW$OUTFILT) of 0 (SDF element). FIP$VNBUF The address of the buffer containing the output version name. The version name must be in the ASCII/ISO character set, with length from 1 to 12 characters. This field is used only for output and an output file type (SW$OUTFILT) of 0 (SDF element). FIP$EFB1 The first set of 6 element flag bits (12 total), corresponding to bits 0 to 5 of word 3 in the Program File Element Table Item. See the Data Structures Programming Reference Manual for further details. This field is defined only if reading from or writing to an SDF element. FIP$EFB2 Second set of 6 element flag bits, corresponding to bits 6 to 11 of word 3 in the Program File Element Table Item. See the Data Structures Programming Reference Manual for further details. This field is defined only if reading from or writing to an SDF element. FIP$ETYP The symbolic element type; see the Data Structures Programming Reference Manual. This field is defined only if reading from or writing to an SDF element. FIP$ESTYP The symbolic element subtype; see 18.3 for element subtype definitions. This field is defined only if reading from or writing to an SDF element. FIP$ECYC The absolute cycle number of the SDF element. This field is defined only if reading from or writing to an SDF element.
