Introduction
1.1. About This Manual
Routines Library (SYSLIB). The descriptions of the SYSLIB routines include their calling
sequence, parameters, and error or normal returns.
Master Doc PLE
This manual contains all the information that was available at the time of publication.
Technical changes that were not available at the time of publication are documented in
problem list entry (PLE) 17668757. To obtain a copy of this PLE, log on with entitled
privileges to the Unisys Product Support web site (http://www.support.unisys.com/) or
contact your Unisys representative.
Audience
This manual is for developers of both application and system software in the OS 2200
environment. This standardized implementation of commonly required services
eliminates the need for detailed knowledge of internal OS 2200 data structures, which
are subject to change.
Prerequisites
To use the Service Library routines effectively, the programmer should be familiar with
• OS 2200 concepts, facilities, and job control language
• Executive system (Exec) concepts and facilities
• MASM and PLUS programming languages
