under Section 13C/13A <strong>of</strong> the IMCC<br />

Sir,<br />

I am directed to refer to the Depaftment's order F.No.R.1201110412005-EP dated 20.07.2011<br />

related to admission matter for the year 2011-12 intimating certain shortcomings for rectification for<br />

consideration <strong>of</strong>the case for the2012-13 session.<br />

2. The <strong>CCIM</strong> had carried out an inspection <strong>of</strong> the institution on 19-20.05.2012 to reassess the<br />

available facilities <strong>of</strong> teaching and practicaltraining as well as to verify the compliance submitted <strong>by</strong><br />

the college and forwarded its recommendations and reporl to the Department.<br />

3. The recommendations and visitation report <strong>of</strong> the <strong>CCIM</strong> have been carefully examined in<br />

terms <strong>of</strong> the IMCC Act, relevant Regulations and approved norms for grant <strong>of</strong> permission for the<br />

academic year 2012-13 for UG/PG vide Department's letter No.R.ll01ll5l2010 dated 18.03.2011<br />

and21.03.2011 and F.No.R.1101111012011-EP dated 27.12.2011, which were issued to all colleges,<br />

universities and State Governments and are also avaiiabie on Department's website<br />

); and it is found that thh College is fulfilling the approved criteria as<br />

follou's:-<br />

(i) Teachers:<br />

a. For UG course: 90% eligible teachers, 50% Higher Faculty (Pr<strong>of</strong>essor+Reader) and at least one<br />

teacher in each Depaftment ,<br />

b. For PG course(s): In addition to the UG course, 1 Higher Faculty + I Lecturer in the concerned<br />

PG department, fulfillment <strong>of</strong> teacher-student ratio (1:3 for Pr<strong>of</strong>essor, 1:2 for Reader and 1:1<br />

for Lecturer).<br />

(ii) Beds in hospital:<br />

a. Minimum 100 beds in hospitals <strong>of</strong> Ayurveda Colleges up/to 50 intake capacity * 1:2 studentbed<br />

ratio for 5l- 100 students intake capacity.<br />

b. Minimum 150 bedded hospital for PG Colleges <strong>of</strong> Ayurveda * l:5 student-bed ratio for each<br />

PG clinical seat over the total requirement <strong>of</strong> beds for UG students' intake capacity,<br />

(iii). Daily average <strong>of</strong> 100 patients per day in OPDs <strong>of</strong> the hospital during last year,<br />

(iv). a0% bed occupancy for UG courses and 50o/o bed occupancy for PG courses in IPDs <strong>of</strong> the<br />

hospital. and<br />

(v). Fulfillment <strong>of</strong> provisions including staff requirement under relevant PG Education Regulations.<br />

4' It has, therefore, been decided to grant conditional permission to the parul Institute <strong>of</strong><br />

Ayurvedao Limda,waghodia, vadodara, Gujarat to take admissions with 50 seats in BAMS<br />

course for academic session 2012-13 under section l3cll3A <strong>of</strong> the IMCC A"t, tg70 subject,to<br />

:"1ttt".l that the.college will fulfill the following requiremenrs <strong>by</strong> 31.10.2012 which will be verified<br />

tor granttng permission for the subsequent year(s) (a copy <strong>of</strong> Assessment Sheet <strong>of</strong> cclM for teachers<br />

and other is also enclosed):<br />

(i) Full complement <strong>of</strong> teachers including required number <strong>of</strong> higher faculty in various<br />

teaching departments as per norms ortne ccila shail be availabre.<br />

(ii) other staff, infrastructuie, equipment, instrumenis, furniture and essential facilities<br />

5' The fulfillment <strong>of</strong> the conditions attached to the permission given above may be made within<br />

the.time period specified and compliance report should be submitted to the Department <strong>of</strong> AyUSH<br />

endorsing a copy to the ccIM also. The ccIM will verify irr*,rr" conditions have been fulfilled <strong>by</strong><br />

means <strong>of</strong> an inspection' Non-fulfillment <strong>of</strong> the conditions attached to the permission within the time<br />

specified may entail withdrawal <strong>of</strong> permission.<br />

6. This issues with the approval <strong>of</strong> competent authority.<br />
