Yearly youth festival is a talent treasure hunt as well as celebration of creativity, skills and intellect of 

exuberant youth of the campus. We would say its spontaneous overflow of powerful performances as well 

as performances recollected in tranquility. It is a display of mosaic culture and art prevalent in the campus 

along with athletic acts of Parulians. A range of competitions are organized under the different umbrellas 

named Cultural, Literature and Sports Competitions. 

Cultural activities include Solo Singing (boys & girls), Duet Singing, Solo Dance (boys & girls), Couple 

Dance, Classical Dance, Folk Dance / Traditional Dance, Mr. & Ms. Dhoom 2012, Fashion Show. All events 

provide us medley of feelings some make us feel westernized while others make us feel nostalgic. It is a 

demonstration of brotherhood, habitation, festivals, celebration, attires and many more practiced by 

people all over the world. Fashion Show event has always come up with various as well as fantastic themes 

like Global Warming, Money parasite, Egypt culture, Save Girl Child, Help Specially Challenged People, 

Corruption, Green Revolution, Stop Domestic Violence, etc. 

Literature Zone was, as usual, overcrowded with intelligent audience for the events like Debate, 

Extempore Elocution, Essay Writing, Story Writing, Poster Making, Painting, Skit, Mono-acting, Drama, 

Poetry Recitation, My Own Poetry, Antakshari, Treasure Hunt, etc. Tough & fruitful brainstorming takes 

place during Debate and Elocution while flight by wings of imagination 

can easily be seen in Essay, Story and Poetry writing. Quick movements in bewilderment and 

overwhelming emotions with a sense of exploration from the side of participants were really enviable for 

the viewers of the grand event Treasure Hunt. 

Sports section was thundering with piercing round of applauses for series of events like Cricket, Foot Ball, 

Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis and all. Unstoppable cheers 

from the side of audience were constantly boosting the zealous confidence of athlete students to give 

their power pack performances. Patience, Mental Agility, Group Behavior – Team Spirit, Leadership Skills 

and obviously Sportsmanship were some of the learning lessons for participants as well as for audience of 

sports events.

Inaugural Ceremony – Morning 

9th Annual Function was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr. B. C. Solanki, Pracharya, District Institute of 

Education & Training (D.I.E.T) Guest of Honor Mr. Satish Shrimali, Ex. Superintendent, Archaeology 

Department, Lothal and Ex. Bank of India (BOI) Manager. Dr. Devanshu Patel delivered welcome and 

motivated speech which highlighted the importance & objectives of sports, literature and cultural 

activities along with busy schedule of studies. 

Cultural event was inaugurated in presence of honorable guest along with the prize distribution to the 

students who achieved ranks in GTU examination by their noticeable academic performance. 

On 19th February 2012, cultural event was instated in presence of respected guests Mr. J. K. Bhatt; 

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Vadodara Range and Dr. Anil Kane; Ex. V. C. M. S. University of 

Baroda. Winners of the competitions were rewarded by Certificates, trophies, medals for their 

outstanding performance
